Yes, I went and did it. I converted my blog to MiniBlog. It is much lighter than BlogEngine.NET. I'm liking the HTML5 and it should be fun to tweak it out a bit more too.

I've nixed some things, my old resume, the VS Achievements that only worked in VS 2012, a few other things. I might bring some back later. Still poking around with this. Stay tuned.

After a long time at Windows Live Spaces, I am switching my main blog to a highly modified BlogEngine.net install. Don’t get me wrong, Spaces was great for a while, but it has gotten so slow and cumbersome in the past year that I just needed to switch to a faster solution. The other side benefit of this is that I completely control the engine behind it and can do lots of cool stuff with it that just wasn’t possible with a hosted service like that. Anyway, I haven’t totally given up on Spaces and will continue to use some of the features there as well.
